Yobe State

  Baba Goni Machina was born in Machina on 3rd October 1953. He attended Machina primary school between 1959-1965 Attended Government craft school, Maiduguri from 1966 to 1968.He later preceded to Government Technical College, Kano from 1969-1971. He also attended Kaduna Polytechnic between 1974. He is a graduate of civil engineering from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria in 1977. Engr. Baba Goni is a member of many professional bodies within and outside the Nigeria, among these bodies include prestigious membership of National Institute (MNI), Membership of the following AMICE, MIHTE, Member American Society of Civil Engineering (ASCE), COREN and fellow Nigerian society of Engineering (FNSE) He holds many responsibilities and achievements. He was Director Civil Engineering Services, Commissioner of Cooperatives and Community Development, Works and Housing Commissioner, Director General DFRRI in Borno state, Director-General, DFRRI, Home Affair Information and culture in Yobe state, Director-General Ministry of Education, Director General Ministry of Works, Housing and Transport in Yobe state. He was the Secretary to the Military Government (SMG) in Yobe state from 14th November, 1996 to 18th May, 1998. He was gubernatorial candidate under the flag of People Democratic Party (PDP) in Yobe state. A member interim management committee of PTF in 1999-2001. He currently the Secretary to the State Government of Yobe state.
